Founded in 2007, Zone is a central London based advertising services agency. The expanding, 20 person team works between two offices and specialises in managing the production process for press, TV, radio, print and digital advertising.

Zone Production Director, Andy Huntley explained that when the company was established by a group of industry veterans, it was a guiding principle to make the whole business as agile as possible, "As a consequence of this strategy, we made a conscious decision not to employ an internal IT team and to outsource this role plus the provision and management of our hosted applications, Internet connectivity and VoIP to Modrus. In one guise or another, we have dealt with them for over 10 years and in that time they have repeatedly proven their expertise in these areas."

Andy continued, "We don't feel that we have a normal client / supplier relationship with Modrus. It is much more that - they are a trusted partner and we work together in order to meet our client's requirements. In one instance where we needed to setup our satellite office, Modrus went in and advised us on the telephony, connectivity and security that we'd need to meet the client's stringent needs. We then created an implementation plan which was executed very smoothly and has continued to perform flawlessly."

Elaborating further, Andy explained, "Another great example of where Modrus' experience was of huge benefit to us was when implementing our annotation software package. We could have purchased the hosting directly from the software vendor, however we asked Modrus to get involved in the implementation." Modrus MD, Ed Armitage described what they did next, "Andy asked us to speak directly with the software vendor and advise him on the most effective and cost efficient manner in which the application could be hosted. The vendor's technical team had recommended an expensive solution which we were able to improve upon technically and at a significantly reduced cost."
